One perfectly eclectic & bold house in London

With fall officially upon us, my craving to share more inspirational interiors and home decor ideas with you came back! Hence what a perfect way to reignite my house tour/wanderlust by design series than introducing you to one eclectic and bold house in London?!

I’m a sucker for everything velvet as well as bold or bright hues. Hence, I’m in awe with this Victorian-style house that has it all!

When decorating their property, the owners had one goal, to inject their love of pattern, colour, and nature. I say, goal achieved! Right from the front door you’re welcomed by a savvy mix of bold colours on the wall and quirky art and objects. Plus, the pervasive gemstone-colours throughout the house help set the tone, while consistent elements like the velvet fabric maintain a perfect cohesion.

There are so many details I love in this house! While it’s difficult to pick a favourite room, the kitchen is one of my favourite. It feels like a small tropical oasis, full of cosy nooks. And what about this teal colour perfectly accentuated by the black and white tiles. Who wouldn’t want to spend hours preparing delicious meals or simply entertaining in this room?!

Like with many home tours, there is always something to be learned or taken from. My two favourite decor ideas to keep in mind are:

  1. Velvet furniture always give a warm yet sophisticated vibe to a room;
  2. When painting several walls of a living space with bold hues, always use complementary colours such as this emerald green and sapphire blue.

Are you as inspired by this eclectic and bold house in London as I am!? Would love to hear your comments!
