One of the aspects I love the most in my job is to create moodboards especially as they signify the beginning of a new project. They really allow me to make full use of my creativity to try to translate my client’s wishes on one document by combining colours, texture and decor/furniture pieces. Plus, the beauty of a #moodboard, is that’s it’s an iterative process as they may change throughout the entire design process according to mine and/or my client’s inspiration🎨

L'un des aspects que j'aime le plus dans mon travail est la création de planches d’ambiance, d'autant plus qu'elles signifient le début d'un nouveau projet. Elles me permettent d'exploiter pleinement ma créativité pour essayer de traduire les souhaits de mes clients sur un seul document en combinant couleurs, matériaux et éléments de décoration et de mobilier. Ce qui est encore plus cool, c'est qu'il s'agit d'un processus itératif puisque ces planches peuvent changer tout au long du projet selon mon inspiration et/ou celle de mon client🎨.

Progress✨ Slowly but steadily the decor is coming together. We’ve a new bed, a g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s bronze velvet sofa in the living room. Next up: continue styling main bedroom decor, picking curtains for the latter and the office and choosing a colour for kitchen wall.

Gentiment mais sûrement j’avance sur ma nouvelle déco. On a un nouveau lit et un m.a.g.n.i.f.i.q.u.e canapé en velours bronze dans le salon. Prochaine étape: continuer à aménager la chambre à coucher, choisir des rideaux pour celle-ci et le bureau et la couleur du mur de la cuisine.

It's boutique accommodation review time!

After the first part of my review last week of design forward @miramontiboutiquehotel, a hotel overlooking the city of #Merano (Italy), let me dive a little bit deeper into this architectural wonder by this time focusing on its exteriors.

Though the interior décor of the hotel already had me as soon as set foot in its lobby, the outdoor spaces (yes, there are a variety of them) is what entirely won me over:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Miramonti’s focus being on wellness and good life, they created an impressive indoor/outdoor spa, including a dreamy onsen pool overlooking the entire valley (very james bondesque), a stunning saltwater infinity pool, forest sauna built among the trees and steps away from an adorable wooden walkway that will lead you to the perfect Jacuzzi spot. I especially loved how they designed the outdoor space, setting all these various areas almost on different levels that you reach only by climbing artificially rusted staircases. You get a very cute hobbit-village vibe.
